Quality Control Engineering Technician

Join a dynamic team responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of small appliances under the First Build program. You will lead quality projects and processes, navigating standards, documentation, and establishing production standards and processes. Collaborating with various manufacturing groups, you will tackle parts or dimensional issues that impact quality, helping to drive project and program initiatives to successful completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Run and manage quality projects and processes within the First Build program.
  • Work with manufacturing groups such as Stamping, Plastics, and Assembly to address quality issues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
  • Monitor and report on project status updates, and validate the completion of checklist items.
  • Take responsibility for meeting project quality and budget objectives.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in quality control and quality assurance for prototype small appliances.
  • Experience with tools such as Polyworks and metrology.
  • Engineering experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in consumer product manufacturing quality assurance and/or quality control.
  • Understanding of quality management systems and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of quality tools.
  • Understanding of supplier quality and general quality principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment:

Work primarily in the First Build Small Appliance department, collaborating with manufacturing groups such as Stamping, Plastics, and Assembly. You will coordinate with Quality, Advanced Manufacturing, Production, and Engineering departments to scan defective parts, establish quality standards, and create quality testing procedures.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
