Production/Machine Operator

We are seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Utility Worker. Candidates must be open to working all shifts, with training likely occurring on first shift before moving to an off shift. The designated shift will be assigned after training. The role involves working in a dynamic environment where responsibilities include clean-up duties around the shop, operating bagging or packaging equipment, filling, palletizing, and hauling products to assigned storage locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform clean-up duties around the shop.
• Operate bagging or packaging equipment.
• Fill, palletize, and haul product to assigned storage locations.
• Perform adjustments and minor repairs to maintain production activities.
• Follow production schedules and accurately report operational records.
• Assist in supplying the line with desired salt grades.
• Shovel piles of salt and sweep floors.
• Help in multiple departments and learn foundational steps for long-term opportunities.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to make adjustments to machines.
• Data entry and record-keeping skills.
• General production and machine operation experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Capability to lift up to 65 lbs and remain on feet all day.
• Experience working in a food environment is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based in a salt facility, which is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Employees will work around 50-60 hours per week, ensuring a robust and engaging work environment.

Pay and Benefits
