Production Operator

We are seeking skilled candidates to operate production equipment, including dryers, baggers, and standardizers. The role involves monitoring the flow of milk, managing batches, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the flow of milk from incoming tankers to the drying process.
  • Dump powder into batches and communicate with the production department about the batches and types of production running.
  • Start up, run, and clean the standardizer machine.
  • Maintain proper quality of production and safety standards for specific product/customers.
  • Organize and clean work areas and machines.
  • Assemble and disassemble pumps.

Essential Skills

  • Production experience, particularly on a production line or food line.
  • Basic math skills (ability to perform basic calculations such as 250 - 75, 300 + 250).
  • Ability to lift 50lbs throughout the shift, including lifting large bags of powdered milk multiple times per shift.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of the shift.
  • High School Diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferably a background in food or beverage production.

Work Environment

The work environment includes two plants, both of which can become hot and humid in the summer due to machinery. The facility is wet on the ground, and as it is FDA regulated, all proper GMP must be followed. Candidates are provided with smock suits, elbow-length gloves, boots, and hair nets. The dress code under the uniform includes comfortable pants and shirts. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including potentially working seven days a week during peak seasons, and holidays as part of a 24/7/365 operation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
