Production Assembler

Join our team as a 1st Shift Production Assembler where you will assemble electrical and mechanical parts into finished products using a variety of tools and assembly process equipment. You will have the opportunity to cross-train in mechanical, electronic, testing, microscope, soldering, and finishing areas, gaining a diverse skill set.

Responsibilities include:

• Assemble electrical and mechanical components into final products.
• Use a variety of tools including screwdrivers and torque wrenches.
• Hand solder and utilize adhesives and chemicals as required.
• Operate computer workstations for record-keeping and testing.
• Perform electronic testing on final assemblies using various test equipment.
• Conduct quality control inspections.
• Lift up to 40 pounds consistently.

Essential Skills:

• Experience with assembly, production, and using small screwdrivers and torque wrenches.
• Proficiency in soldering and reading work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with using a microscope.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or equivalent education is highly preferred.
• Experience with PCB or small part assembly is needed.
• Certification in JSTD is highly preferred.

Work Environment:

Work the 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday. The production area is large, supporting various lines for Gas and Flame Detection sensors. Smocks and safety glasses are provided, while safety toe shoes are required but not provided. Be aware that some areas may have a strong epoxy smell. We ensure all candidates receive cross-training and are placed in departments where they excel or prefer.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN. The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
