Picker and Packer - $17/HR - 1st Shift - Start ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated Picker and Packer to join our warehouse team. This role involves accurately receiving orders, retrieving goods, and ensuring efficient packing and delivery processes. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the flow of operations and upholding company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Receive orders from the Warehouse Manager and retrieve, pick, and pack goods from the warehouse.
• Check packing lists for accuracy and inspect collected goods.
• Deliver materials to routing areas for packing and update the computer ordering system.
• Use an order-picker system/sheet to pull orders when needed.
• Follow safety rules for the warehouse when picking an order.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks at the warehouse.
• Move stock in a manner that prevents breakage and/or product loss.
• Ensure that strict delivery deadlines are met.
• Uphold all company policies and practices.
• Perform or complete other duties or special projects as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a Picker/Packer or Warehouse Associate
• Ability to read a pick slip and assess material locations for complete packaging
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs daily
• Capability of being on feet for 10 hours a day
• Proficiency in reading and writing in English
• Ability to operate material-handling equipment, such as hand trucks and pallet jacks

Work Environment:

Work Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a hard start at 8:30 AM. The work environment involves continuous standing and walking, pushing and pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. You will utilize fine finger movements for keyboard operation and other tasks, grasping and gripping with hands and fingers, bending at the waist, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and reaching overhead. Communication with store employees, co-workers, and vendors is essential, requiring speaking, hearing, and sight to assist effectively.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
