Operations Technician

An exciting opportunity is available for an Operations Technician to join our team in supporting motor configuration and line execution for a new fan assembly line. This role involves utilizing software tools to program motors to custom duty points, conducting functional checks, and troubleshooting minor issues to maintain production efficiency. Additionally, basic quality responsibilities and cross-training for inspection and containment coverage are integral to this position.

Responsibilities

  • Program and configure motors using specialized software tools to meet custom duty points and product requirements.
  • Perform verification steps and log results for traceability, including serial number, configuration, and pass/fail status.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues related to setup, connections, configuration, and basic functional failures, escalating complex failures with clear evidence.
  • Support production flow by ensuring station readiness, adherence to standard work, and coordination with leads and stakeholders.
  • Minimize rework and repeat issues through disciplined programming, verification, and feedback on quality basics, ensuring only ship-ready units proceed.
  • Cross-train on quality inspections and containment to cover critical tasks during absences.

Essential Skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing operations, technician/test support, or industrial troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in using software tools and following structured programming/configuration procedures.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills with clear documentation of findings.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a shop-floor environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with motor/drive programming, calibration/config tools, functional test systems, or electromechanical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with control plans, defect documentation, containment, and basic RCA methods.
  • Experience supporting NPI/ramp-up environments or partner manufacturing sites.

Work Environment

The work environment involves standing and walking on the shop floor, lifting up to approximately 35 lbs, and using hand tools. Compliance with PPE and safety requirements is mandatory. This position operates on a morning shift with work on weekends only for emergencies. Training consists of 1–2 weeks at the main office in Austin, TX, and approximately 1 week of onboarding at the assembly line location in Muskogee.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Muskogee, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
