Operations Support Specialist – Commercial Solar
Location: Loomis, CA 95640
Schedule: Full-time, in-office (5 days)

Pay Range: $25–$30/hour
Reports to: Director of Solar and Head of HR
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Operations Support Specialist to support our commercial solar construction operations. This role provides direct assistance to the field teams and leadership by managing timecards, payroll verification, travel/lodging coordination, training completion tracking, and operational reporting. This position requires someone comfortable with flexible schedules during payroll cycles and frequent communication with field personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Operations Support
- Support commercial solar field teams across West, Central, and East regions.
- Conduct weekly check-ins with field staff and monitor training completion.
- Attend meetings, track attendance, and document follow-up items.
- Ensure staff complete required scorecards (8–9 reports weekly).
- Payroll & Timekeeping
- Verify timecards in Replicon/ADP (experience not required).
- Understand and validate travel time, work time, lunch time, and compliance items.
- Handle early payroll tasks—I.E. special submission time for payroll around holidays, etc.
- Track geolocation and vehicle metrics associated with time punches.
- Logistics & Admin
- Manage hotel coordination—including evening calls (typically 6–8 PM) when issues arise.
- Ensure teams complete monthly vehicle maintenance.
- Assist leadership (Jeff, Chris, Todd) with scheduling, coordination, and reporting.
- Provide general administrative support to construction operations.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Experience in solar, energy, or construction operations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow up consistently.
- Comfortable with early-morning or late-evening calls as needed.
- Flexible start times depending on operational demand.
- Ability to learn payroll/timekeeping systems quickly (Replicon, ADP, or similar).
- Reliable communication skills and professionalism with field personnel.
Work Environment
- Full-time on-site preferred
- Requires occasional non-standard hours to support field operations.
- One-month in-office shadowing with current employee in position prior to independent work.
- Manager will be going on leave in approximately two months—candidate must be ready to take ownership of responsibilities by then.
Hiring Process
- Initial screening with head of HR
- Panel interview via Teams with Director of Solar
- Final on-site visit to confirm commute and office fit

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
