Operations Supervisor

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift Operations Supervisor to oversee our hummus production area, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and driving continuous improvement in processes and productivity. This role is perfect for someone from a manufacturing background who is comfortable working in a food and beverage environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the hummus room operations and ensure efficiency levels and continuous improvement
• Oversee hiring, firing, and management of contract labor, which constitutes 70% of the team
• Handle payroll, timesheets, and production organization
• Communicate with shift leads regarding production needs
• Drive production forward by focusing on operational KPIs and continuous improvement
• Identify problems, implement changes, and improve efficiency
• Manage labor efficiency and compliance by following KPIs
• Handle attendance problems and turnover effectively
• Responsible for injury reporting, write-ups, and forms, as well as reorganizing staff to meet production needs

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of operations supervision experience in a non-union manufacturing industry
• Experience managing 35+ individuals
• Strong understanding of all areas of manufacturing, including materials, maintenance, people, and machinery
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with SAP/ERP systems for tracking production

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Ferndale, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr. 1st day of the month following the date of hire Medical, Dental, Vision STD / LTD HSA/FSA PTO eligible (1 week for 1st year)

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Ferndale, MI.
