Locking Operator/1st Shift/20+

The Locking Operator provides support functions to keep the locking line running smoothly. This is an entry level skillset and training can be done on the job. This position operates under flexible parameters. The primary goal of this position is to achieve excellence in all facets of the position. Providing the highest quality product safely, effectively, and efficiently decreases accidents and errors and increase profits.

Essential Functions

  • Dump product into bulk hoppers
  • Use a pallet jack and sit-down tow motor to move product
  • Perform QA checks on running parts
  • Replace labels and ribbons on label makers
  • Basic piece and time transactions on RF scanner
  • Lubricate equipment as needed
  • Use of basic quality gages
  • Meet production schedules and timelines
  • Complete all paperwork the role requires
  • Follow all work instructions in the department

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Lift up to 50lb
  • Overtime availability
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast pace constantly changing environment
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Preferred Skills

  • Tow Motor Experience
  • 1 to 3 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication skills

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Occasionally work in high precarious places.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
