Now Hiring: MIG Welder

This role focuses on production MIG welding in a manufacturing environment, working primarily on JLG baskets and A-frames. You use your MIG welding experience and ability to read blueprints or weld symbols to produce consistent, high-quality welds. You must be able to pass a horizontal MIG welding test and a written test, with the potential to begin in a laborer capacity if additional time is needed to reach the required welding standard.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on production components, including JLG baskets and A-frames, to meet quality and safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to determine weld locations, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Set up welding equipment and materials for each job, ensuring proper settings and consumables for MIG welding.
  • Use measuring tools such as tape measures and basic math skills to verify dimensions and ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Perform grinding and basic fabrication tasks to prepare, finish, or adjust welded parts as required.
  • Follow written instructions and successfully complete a horizontal MIG welding test and written test as part of the qualification process.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and reliability to support production schedules on 3rd shift.
  • Inspect completed welds for defects and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working in a manufacturing and production welding environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and resolve issues that affect weld quality or throughput.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of MIG welding experience in a production or similar environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or weld symbols.
  • Capability to pass a horizontal MIG welding test.
  • Ability to pass a written test related to welding and production processes.
  • Proficiency with MIG welding equipment and techniques.
  • Experience using a tape measure and performing basic math for measurements and fabrication.
  • Ability to perform grinding and basic fabrication tasks.
  • Strong, reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively on 3rd shift in a manufacturing setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with production welding in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in fabrication work related to structural components.
  • Comfort working from detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality welds.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.65 - $22.15/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
