Material Handler
The material handler will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within the facility. This includes loading and unloading trucks using walkie riders and pallet jacks, as well as moving products around the facility. The role is crucial for maintaining production efficiency, organizing the workspace, and upholding quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Unload and load trucks, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Deliver materials to the production floor in a timely manner.
- Analyze and estimate workloads based on order sheets.
- Perform daily operational checks on delivered raw materials.
- Record and inspect equipment, including cleaning and adding fluids as needed.
- Conduct quality checks using microscopes, micrometers, measuring devices, calipers, rulers, and other related tools.
- Utilize mobile equipment such as forklifts and walkies in daily operations.
- Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensuring safety compliance.
- Prepare documentation as required for material receipts and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area following the 6S standard.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers both verbally and in written form.
- Adhere to company rules and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues promptly.
- Support the proper implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the functional area.
- Train others at the same or lower level within the functional area.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in material handling and inventory management.
- Experience with packing, general labor, and production processes.
- Ability to use RF scanners and pallet jacks.
- Experience in unloading, sit-down forklift operation, order picking, and reach truck operation.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented with a good understanding of department workflow and processes.
- Ability to work all scheduled shift hours.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.70 - $20.70/hr.
