Manufacturing Associate

The Production Associate III is responsible for producing standard and custom medical devices in a team environment to meet customer and quality requirements. This role involves following standard work instructions and adhering to company policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Following department work instructions and adhering to customer and industry standards for dental products.
  • Operating mechanical equipment as needed according to work instructions.
  • Visually checking medical devices and performing operations according to work instructions.
  • Identifying and recommending disposition of defective items for rework or scrap.
  • Understanding the product manufacturing process from initial steps through final inspection.
  • Completing all required documentation accurately.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
  • Participating in cross-training for various manufacturing procedures.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Essential skills include:

  • Experience in assembly and manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in production, packaging, assembly, and inspection.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and operate machinery.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with SOP and GMP standards.

Additional skills and qualifications include:

  • Experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve problems.
  • Ability to professionally communicate, coach, train, motivate, and lead/mentor team members.

Work environment:

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM. The position requires working at a workstation with periods of sitting and standing. The manufacturing floor is an open space with strict safety procedures. Employees must adhere to all safety protocols and SOP documents for a regulated environment, including security checks.

Job type & location:

This is a contract to hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
