Maintenance Technician/Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing company equipment, including production equipment, warehouse bay doors, electrical systems, and heating and cooling systems. You will perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and adhere to all company policies, standards, and safety procedures. Your role will involve performing equipment changeovers to minimize downtime, communicating repair status with co-workers and internal customers, and completing necessary paperwork. You will also be responsible for ordering parts, maintaining inventory, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop.

Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with company equipment.

Repair equipment according to established company standards.

Perform preventative maintenance on company equipment.

Adhere to all company policies, standards, and safety procedures.

Perform changeovers on production line equipment to minimize downtime.

Communicate with co-workers, internal customers, and supervisors regarding equipment repair needs.

Complete preventative maintenance records, work order forms, and other paperwork.

Work assigned schedule and overtime as needed.

Order parts and maintain parts inventory.

Maintain cleanliness of work area and organize the maintenance shop.

Experience with electrical systems up to 480V.

Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.

Proficient in motor repair and gearboxes.

Industrial maintenance experience on production equipment or completion of Associate's/Trade School.

Troubleshoot hydraulic systems.

Experience with maintenance, conveyor systems, and preventive maintenance.

Experience with bottling and plastics.

Knowledge of Ladder Logic, VFD, and motors.

Experience with filling systems.

You will work in a climate-controlled, food-grade facility that maintains high cleanliness standards. The role is based on the 3rd shift, operating from 11pm to 7:30am, with a .35 shift differential. The position requires movement between the bottling and blow mold facilities, which are separated by a parking lot. Appropriate attire, such as hair and beard nets, is required in certain areas. The company provides a structured schedule, allowing you to plan your time effectively.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
