Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will support daily operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment, including machines and pumps. This role focuses entirely on mechanical work, requiring strong hands-on skills in disassembly, repair, and reassembly of equipment, with welding experience highly preferred to restore and reinforce components as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical issues with machines and pumps and determine the appropriate repair methods.
• Disassemble mechanical components, perform repairs or part replacements, and reassemble equipment to proper operating condition.
• Use hand tools and other mechanical tools to perform maintenance and repair tasks safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Weld and repair broken or worn components when needed to restore structural integrity and function, if welding skills are available.
• Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns to minimize disruption to operations.
• Inspect machines and pumps after repair to ensure they operate correctly and safely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in an industrial environment.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to take machines and pumps apart, repair them, and reassemble them correctly.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools for mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on a variety of industrial equipment.
• Capability to perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical systems.
• Comfort working in an industrial environment with heavy equipment and machinery.
• No electrical work is required; focus is entirely on mechanical responsibilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding experience is highly preferred to repair and weld components back together as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and best practices in an industrial setting.
• Reliability and strong work ethic, including consistent attendance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
