Maintenance Engineering Technician

This role involves cleaning and maintaining assigned areas within a university setting to ensure customer and client satisfaction. Responsibilities include removing trash, sweeping, mopping, and operating floor buffer machines.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain various assigned areas within the university.
• Remove trash and ensure proper disposal.
• Sweep and mop floors to maintain cleanliness.
• Operate floor buffer machines as required.
• Work every other weekend, with Thursday before and Monday after off when scheduled for weekend duty.
• Adapt to cleaning different areas of the university on a day-to-day basis.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in sanitation and trash removal.
• Ability to perform custodial and janitorial duties.
• Attention to detail.
• Experience in cleaning and housekeeping tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects greater than 50 lbs.
• Capability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions.

Work Environment

The work environment includes maintaining all building janitorial and cleaning needs at Seton Hill University, including common areas, residence halls, offices, hallways, stairwells, classrooms, and bathrooms. The work shift is 8 hours, starting between 4:00 am and 6:00 am, and includes weekend work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensburg, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
