Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role requires a dedicated professional to assist the Chief Engineer in daily operations and lead during their absence.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Assist the Chief Engineer with daily operations and take the lead during absences.
• Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with FDNY and local regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors on repairs, upgrades, and capital projects.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies and after-hours issues.
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation for all systems and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of experience in building engineering, powerplant operations, or facilities maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience with boilers, chillers, HVAC, and steam systems.
• Refrigeration Machine Operator License (highly preferred).
• FDNY certifications (or ability to obtain).
• High pressure steam license is not required but is a major plus.
• Boiler Operator License is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical diagrams.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Floral Park, NY.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
