Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated service technician to perform essential recall repair work on vehicles at auction lots. This role requires a professional demeanor and a commitment to following safety protocols, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Travel daily to local auction houses as directed by the logistics coordinator or upper management.
- Scan and identify vehicle inventory at auctions for open recalls.
- Perform recall repair work on approved vehicles at the auction site.
- Complete recall lists using provided parts and ensure all steps in the recall documents are followed.
- Submit recall work as a job in Autoleap, providing necessary information and media when required.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude with team members, clients, auction staff, and security personnel.
- Organize and secure parts in their original packaging in the work vehicle and storage unit.
- Return cores in their original packaging to the MRS hub.
- Request parts with enough lead time to ensure timely receipt.
- Adhere to auction guidelines, safety protocols, and security measures.
- Set and communicate a weekly schedule to the logistics coordinator or upper management.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to install and use hand tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic testing capabilities.
- Experience in a service technician role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work outdoors all day.
- Ability to travel for up to 2 weeks for training.
- 2+ years of experience in a trade performing installation or service.
- Experience using basic hand tools.
- Familiarity with computer software such as CMMS or Microsoft Office.
- Ownership of a computer or tablet for initial training.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Houston, TX 77061.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
