Bench Trimmer

As a Bench Trimmer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and precision of aerospace components by operating mill guns to sand and deburr metal parts. You will work with both hand and power tools to grind titanium and refine the edges of aerospace blades and wheels. Performing visual inspections and utilizing hand cranes to move parts are also key aspects of this position.

Must be open to overtime and working every other weekend*

Responsibilities

• Operate mill guns to sand and deburr metal parts.
• Grind titanium using hand and power tools.
• Shape and grind edges of aerospace blades and wheels.
• Perform visual inspections of aerospace parts.
• Utilize hand cranes to move parts into work areas.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience operating heavy industrial machinery such as stamping presses and punch presses.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Willingness to work all shifts and overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with metal and steel in previous jobs.
• Familiarity with hot and cold working environments.
• Experience working in a forge-type environment.
• Experience with documentation for inspection.

Work Environment

The work environment is a heavy industrial manufacturing setting, with temperatures varying from hot in the summer to cold in the winter. Metals handled here weigh between 20 to 350 lbs, but all movement is facilitated by cranes or automated robots, minimizing physical lifting. Inspectors will have designated workstations and will be required to perform various quality tests throughout the facility.

This is a Permanent position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
