Machine Operator - 1st Shift - $17-$18/hr
We are seeking a skilled Operator to manage and oversee the operations of our printing machine. This role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of the machine and maintaining the quality of the output.
Responsibilities
- Feed the machine with stacks of paper.
- Monitor the flow of paper and ink from the machine.
- Pick up and straighten large stacks of envelopes (50 envelopes at a time) and box them.
- Box up envelopes and check their quality every load to ensure accuracy.
- Document quality checks and record data from these checks.
- The position is for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 3 pm.
Essential Skills
- Experience as a machine operator and production operator.
- Ability to read a tape measure, including measurements such as 1/8th and 1/16th of an inch.
- Experience loading multiple parts or products onto a machine at once and operating two machines simultaneously.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, twist, reach overhead, and bend over for the duration of the shift.
- Attention to detail and quality assurance experience.

The work takes place in a large, well-lit facility with a warehouse/shipping area and production on the other side. While the environment is loud, earplugs are provided for your safety. The facility is not climate-controlled, but industrial fans maintain a comfortable temperature.
This is a contract position based out of Van Buren Twp, Michigan.
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
