Laborer - Pay $24/hr

We are seeking dedicated laborers to be responsible for the general grounds maintenance and upkeep of all areas, including the exterior of buildings and roadways.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks requiring mainly physical abilities and effort with little to no specialized skill or prior work experience.
• Load and unload trucks and other conveyances; move supplies and materials to proper locations using wheelbarrows or hand trucks; stack materials for storage or binning.
• Collect refuse and salvageable materials.
• Dig, fill, and tamp earth excavations; level ground using pick, shovel, tamper, and rake.
• Shovel concrete and snow; clean culverts and ditches; cut trees and brush.
• Operate power lawnmowers; clean gutters and roofs; remove carpet/vinyl flooring.
• Serve as a flagger or fire watch, if trained and certified.
• Move and arrange heavy pieces of material, furniture, equipment, and appliances.
• Spread sand and deicer on icy roads and walkways; pick up leaves and trash.
• Perform grounds maintenance laborer tasks.
• Assist in the spill response team.
• Obtain and maintain asbestos certification for the purpose of removing asbestos.
• Perform other related duties as assigned and incidental work in other classifications if necessary.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School education or equivalent
• Must possess and maintain a valid State-issued driver's license with a good driving record.
• Meet and maintain company physical and security requirements, including clearance eligibility when required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Good communication skills for a service team environment.

Work Environment:

Work will be conducted at a Naval Base, requiring adherence to specific safety and security protocols. The role involves outdoor tasks in various weather conditions and may include working with power tools and heavy equipment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Bremerton, Washington.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.41 - $24.41/hr.
