Installer

As an installer, you will be responsible for installing and repairing commercial awnings using both hand and power tools. This role requires climbing ladders that reach heights of up to 32 feet for installations and repairs. You will measure awnings and attach them to pre-erected bases while accurately using a tape measure to read installation instructions and dimensions. The job includes working outdoors in various weather conditions and traveling to different sites across Northeast Ohio alongside a senior installer, ensuring you never work on site alone. Additional duties involve assisting in the warehouse with assembly tasks, loading and unloading trucks, and basic pre-assembly of awnings.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair commercial awnings using hand and power tools.
• Climb ladders up to 32 feet for installations and repairs.
• Measure awnings and attach them to pre-erected bases.
• Read installation instructions and dimensions accurately.
• Work outdoors in extreme heat or inclement weather.
• Travel to sites across Northeast Ohio with a installer.
• Assist in the warehouse with assembly and warehouse duties.
• Load and unload trucks and perform basic pre-assembly tasks.

Work Environment

This role operates on the 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with overtime required every Saturday between March and October. Workdays typically extend to 10-12 hours with at least 6 hours on Saturdays. You must be open to working every Saturday and staying late during the busy season. The work environment includes exposure to various weather conditions while ensuring the safety of all installations and repairs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
