Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot and support up to five production lines, requiring expertise in mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. You will demonstrate a working knowledge of PLC operating environments, identify potential failure points, and support manufacturer-recommended preventive maintenance schedules. Your role will involve planning, implementing, and supporting weekly, monthly, and annual preventive maintenance programs for all production machinery and facility equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective repairs on production equipment, warehouse equipment, facility systems, electrical, and plumbing as required.
• Maintain accountability for the safekeeping, organization, and inventory of tools, kits, and power equipment.
• Set up, adjust, and prepare equipment for production runs, changeovers, and assembly/disassembly activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, operations, and management to support plant and facility goals.
• Coordinate and work alongside contract mechanics, vendors, and service representatives.
• Accurately complete daily maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Identify and analyze equipment-related downtime, including root causes and points of failure.
• Use schematics, technical drawings, manuals, and testing equipment to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform repairs safely and efficiently, working independently or as part of a team.
• Track parts and materials used and ensure proper documentation and accountability.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and Mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting.
• Ability to strictly adhere to plant safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and machine operation.
• Consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Strong adherence to safety guidelines and immediate reporting of hazards or concerns to management.
• Capability to follow all written and verbal instructions.
• Attendance at all required safety and production training.

Work in a manufacturing environment that is currently not climate controlled. The facility is moving to a building that will provide a climate-controlled environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
