Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic with a strong mechanical aptitude to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and performing preventative maintenance on ice cream cone-making machines. You should be comfortable with periods of inactivity or operating a cone machine oven until maintenance is required. A commitment to electrical safety and basic computer skills is essential.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain ice cream cone-making machines.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure machines operate efficiently.
• Operate cone machine ovens during non-maintenance periods.
• Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards.
• Apply troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical issues.
• Maintain food safety standards.

Work Environment

The work environment includes areas that can be hot, such as the oven area, and cooler areas, like the packing area. This is a typical manufacturing or food safety environment where adherence to PPE protocols is required, including wearing a hair net, beard net, smock, and safety glasses.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerset, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
