Job Title: Sanitation Technician
Job Description
Join a leading flavor and fragrance company as a Sanitation Technician. You will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within our facility, ensuring that it meets the highest hygiene standards for producing some of the country's favorite flavors.
Responsibilities
- Use pressure washers and other cleaning tools to maintain facility cleanliness.
- Clean inside and around large tanks, fitting into small spaces and maneuvering around pipes as needed.
- Perform additional cleaning duties including sweeping of floors and cleaning of common areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and rules, ensuring proper ventilation and use of safety equipment.
- Understand and follow quality procedures, including testing and swabbing of equipment.
- Manually move buckets and vats of flavors.
- Assist with mixing, blending, and compounding of products.
- Work in an environment with a variety of flavors such as vanilla, garlic, and fish oil.
Essential Skills
- Experience in sanitation, pressure washing, and manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of FDA and GMP regulations.
- Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs regularly.
- Strong knowledge and emphasis on safety.
- Ability to use various cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Ability to follow procedures and directions to properly identify products and follow formulas.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing or production, ideally in cleaning, janitorial, or sanitation roles.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Good attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to withstand strong smells in the work environment.

Work Environment
Located in Cerritos, this 120-person company offers a 3rd shift position in a flavor and fragrances environment. While all proper PPE will be provided, candidates should be aware of the strong smells present in the facility.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cerritos, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
