Machine Operator

We are seeking motivated Production Operators to become skilled in operating a variety of extrusion equipment. You will learn to set up machines based on production orders, maintain production quality, obtain samples for quality control, and label and pack finished products.

Responsibilities:

• Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.
• Obtain materials for processing from inventory bins and report any damaged, defective, or missing materials to the supervisor.
• Set up machines based on production orders.
• Monitor material quality for any defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.
• Label and pack finished products as produced on the machine per work order instructions.
• Review work orders and drawings to resolve any conflicts.
• Wear a respirator to perform machine setup when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Comply with OHSA safety standards while performing job duties.
• Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.

Essential Skills:

• 2 years of experience in machine operation.
• Experience working with large machines and materials.
• Proficiency in general production tasks such as operating, packaging, and material handling.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction.
• Good attendance and job tenure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork and self-motivation.
• Fast learning capabilities and patience.
• Some power tool and mechanical skills.
• Interest in operating machines.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
