HVAC Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled HVAC service technician in Livonia, MI. The role involves taking service calls daily at various client sites and performing inspections on different refrigeration units, including walk-in freezers, ovens, and small rooftop units (less than 25 tons). The position is with a smaller company that boasts a range of sizable commercial clients throughout the metro Detroit area, with a significant focus on refrigeration work for restaurants.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and repairs on refrigeration units such as reach-in and walk-in freezers, coolers, and prep tables.

Service mid-sized boilers and rooftop units up to 20 tons.

Handle small chillers and cooling towers.

Participate in an on-call rotation for service calls approximately once a month.

Essential Skills

4+ years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration.

Refrigeration knowledge, particularly for food service clients.

Ability to operate and maintain mid-sized boilers, rooftop units, small chillers, and cooling towers.

Capability to pass a driving record check as driving company vehicles is required.

Possession of a personal set of hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Comfort with working in various commercial environments, including restaurants and offices.

Ability to commute to different locations across the metro Detroit area.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livonia, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
