Commercial HVAC Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in commercial environments such as office buildings, retail centers, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with a variety of HVAC systems and a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Removing old systems and installing new systems
• Performing routine maintenance
• Training junior team members
• Communicating with clients and customers
• Ordering and maintaining equipment
• Meeting local HVAC codes

Essential Skills

• Troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Field service experience
• Installation and setup
• 1-2 years of commercial HVAC experience
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I & II or Universal)
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and split systems
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with building automation systems (BMS)
• Familiarity with energy efficiency practices and LEED standards
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to manage parts inventory and service documentation

Work Environment

Work is performed in commercial settings, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and mechanical hazards. May require travel between job sites and occasional overtime or weekend work. Service all Greater Philadelphia. Work hours are either 7-3pm or 8-4:30pm. Projects range from schools, churches, office buildings, and more. Previous projects include notable design/build constructions in historic and new facilities, highlighting the use of advanced HVAC systems to optimize energy consumption.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Paoli, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
