HR Benefits Manager
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Benefits Manager to join a large manufacturer in the pipeline industry. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for all benefit-related inquiries, ensuring a seamless benefits experience for employees throughout their lifecycle. You will administer various employee benefits programs, ensure compliance with regulations, and work closely with internal partners to support HR functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance to employees and facilitate a smooth benefits experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve coverage issues, assist with claims, and clarify plan features.
- Conduct benefits orientations and provide ongoing support for employee enrollment, changes, and inquiries during onboarding and open enrollment periods.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and various leave policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as HIPAA, COBRA, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
- Evaluate current benefit offerings and recommend enhancements to improve competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate and current benefits records within the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Prepare reports and analyze benefits-related data, including utilization, costs, and trends, to support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with payroll to ensure correct benefit deductions and contributions; support audits and manage compliance filings, including Form 5500.
- Provide support for HR functions including new hire onboarding, safety training, and incident/injury reporting.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of benefits administration or human resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and relevant federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., HIPAA, COBRA, ACA).
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HRIS platforms.

Based in an office 'pit'-like setting, requiring coordination with various departments.

Work hours are 8:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility based on specific situations, and primarily involve in-office work.
Committed to maintaining a 40-hour workweek, though occasional overtime may be required.
This is a Permanent position based out of Houston, TX on the south side of town.
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
