Medical Assembler

Join our team as a Medical Assembler, where you will play a critical role in the production of medical components in a cleanroom environment. This position involves working with coil winding machines, performing assembly processes, and inspecting parts for various medical products such as stents, catheters, and leads. You will be trained in multiple areas of the assembly process, offering opportunities for skill development and cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Operate coil winding machines and perform assembly processes for medical components.
• Inspect and manipulate wires using microscopes for quality assurance.
• Work in various assembly areas including molding, CEA assembly, laser welding, and implantable housings.
• Sit or stand for extended periods, depending on the process and area.
• Use small hand tools such as tweezers, pliers, and filers for assembly tasks.
• Follow written work instructions and ensure product quality and accuracy.
• Adapt to different roles and responsibilities as training progresses.

Essential Skills

• 4-6+ months of experience in medical manufacturing or small part assembly.
• Experience working with microscopes in a cleanroom environment.
• Ability to work with small components and follow detailed instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude is beneficial for the housings area.
• Previous experience in sewing or tasks requiring good hand dexterity is advantageous.
• Adaptability and willingness to be cross-trained in different areas.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily a cleanroom setting, requiring specific gowning procedures. Employees will be sitting or standing throughout the day, depending on the task. The facility is equipped with a break room, workout facility, and walking trails. Non-cleanroom areas may be louder with the presence of machinery. Dress code allows for skirts with appropriate undergarments, and hijabs are permitted with specific safety measures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.78/hr.
