Medical Assembler

Join a dedicated team in assembling life-saving medical devices. This role requires precision and dexterity, as you will be using hand tools and microscopes to assemble various components. The position offers the opportunity to work in a full cleanroom environment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical devices using hand tools and microscopes.
• Quickly learn and adapt to complex processes.
• Cross-train at different assembly stations.
• Use blades, cutters, and microscopes to maneuver small components and parts.
• Work effectively in a cleanroom environment while adhering to safety and cleanliness protocols.

Essential Skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Great hand dexterity and ability to handle small components.
• Understanding of measurements with rulers and calipers.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferably 6 months or more experience in medical assembly or manufacturing/assembly, but open to entry-level candidates.
• Experience with microscopes and cleanroom assembly is advantageous.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Ability to identify colors for labeling purposes.

Work Environment

This position is within a medical device company operating in a full cleanroom environment. Employees must wear appropriate attire such as hair nets, gowns, and booties, and follow strict cleanliness protocols, including washing hands before entering the cleanroom. The dress code prohibits nail polish, long fake nails, makeup, fragrances, henna tattoos, and pants with holes. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $19.25/hr.
