Material Handler

The material handler will perform shipping, receiving, and inventory control duties in the warehouse. This role involves preparing documents for shipping, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare documents and instructions to coordinate the shipping and freighting of pumps, cartridges, and materials.
• Pack and prepare company products for shipping according to customer requests.
• Maintain records of orders shipped, documenting weights and shipping charges.
• Ensure documentation complies with governmental and regulatory agencies requirements.
• Schedule and coordinate shipment deadlines with Customer Service to ensure timely arrivals.
• Maintain computerized shipping systems and equipment such as scales, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
• Receive incoming materials, services, and supplies by checking goods against purchase orders.
• Maintain records of received goods and reject unsatisfactory items.
• Transfer approved materials to their proper stockroom locations or deliver packages internally.
• Coordinate incoming shipments of goods authorized for return with Customer Service and Quality Control.
• Receive products from quarantine and production into finished goods, verifying accuracy against shop orders.
• Examine stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• Perform daily cycle counts and ensure 100% accuracy of all finished goods inventory.
• Perform daily inventory data transactions and provide feedback to inventory inquiries.

Essential Skills:

• 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in data entry with ERP systems.
• Experience in an FDA regulated environment.
• Ability to use pallet jacks, forklifts, and automated shipping equipment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated word processing and data entry skills.
• Familiarity with GMP environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High School diploma.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory CA driving record.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $19.76/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
