Mechanical Assembler

Join our team as a Mechanical Assembler where you will play a crucial role in assembling industrial paint shakers and mixers. You will begin in an entry-level cell, assembling a one-gallon shaker machine, with opportunities to advance into different cells. Your tasks will include hooking wires, placing buttons and stickers, running power cords through frames, and fastening components using a cordless drill and a Phillips screwdriver. You will follow detailed work instructions with pictures to ensure accuracy in assembly.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly of industrial paint shakers and mixers.
• Begin work in an entry-level cell focusing on a one-gallon shaker machine.
• Hook wires, place buttons and stickers on machines.
• Run power cords through machine frames and secure components with nuts and bolts.
• Utilize a cordless drill and Phillips screwdriver for assembly tasks.
• Follow detailed work instructions with visual aids.

Essential Skills

• Experience using screwdrivers, drills, and other power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude and general labor skills.
• Minimum of 6 months in a production/manufacturing assembly environment preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined individuals encouraged to apply.
• Experience in using torque tools and tape measures.
• Ability to lift 45-50lbs.
• Summit Academy students are highly regarded.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment on the 1st shift (Monday to Friday) from 6:00am to 2:30pm. Enjoy 15-minute breaks at 8:30am and 1:00pm, with lunch from 11:00am to 11:30am. Employees are allowed to wear headphones while working. Eye protection is not required. The company is open to hiring two part-time employees working 15-20 hours a week, between 6am-2:30pm with a consistent schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
