General Laborer- GSP1 in Spartanburg, SC

We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team in a large distribution center. This role involves assisting the install team by providing support with tasks such as spotting and flagging while on scissor lifts, removing plastics and cardboard, and handling various other assignments. The position requires the use of power tools, pallet jacks, and facilitating camera installations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the install team by spotting and flagging them on scissor lifts.
• Remove plastics, cardboard, and additional waste materials.
• Use power tools and air-powered tools to commission towers according to diagrams.
• Operate pallet jacks to move, strap, and catalogue materials.
• Help with cleaning the warehouse and facilitating camera installations.
• Run materials up the elevator using a pallet jack.
• Engage in moderate to heavy labor, including heavy lifting and material handling.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 40-50lbs consistently.
• Experience working 8-hour shifts on hard cement floors.
• Strong attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to take direction well.
• Flexibility to work in various positions, including inventory and housekeeping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in material handling, robotics, construction, loading, packaging, and cleaning.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a distribution center, which can sometimes be messy, loud, and crowded. A professional appearance is essential due to the high level of visibility. Required attire includes PPE such as a high-vis vest, glasses, hard hat, gloves, earplugs, and steel-toe shoes/boots. Jeans and t-shirts are acceptable, but avoid loose, baggy clothing.

This is a Contract position based out of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr.
