Material Handler

The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse. This includes handling, storing, and shipping products, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Tasks also involve dealing with plastic sheeting.

Responsibilities:

• Unload, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments.
• Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete necessary paperwork and electronic records for inventory and shipping.

Essential Skills:

• 1-3 years of manufacturing and/or distribution and logistics experience.
• 1-3 years of sit down forklift experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in palletizing, inventory, picking, and/or staging.
• 1+ years of experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

Work within a team of 270 internal employees spread over three buildings, assisting a manufacturing facility. The environment includes both indoor and outdoor work settings. The schedule is Monday to Friday with a choice of first shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm or second shift from 2:30 pm to 11 pm.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kutztown, PA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
