Material Handler

The Warehouse Laborer is tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse by handling, storing, and shipping products. This role involves maintaining inventory accuracy and upholding a clean and safe work environment while dealing with plastic sheeting.

Responsibilities

• Unload, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments.
• Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete necessary paperwork and electronic records for inventory and shipping.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of manufacturing and/or distribution and logistics experience.
• 1-3 years of sit-down forklift experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in palletizing, inventory, picking, and/or staging.
• 1+ years of Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge in inventory control, quality assurance, picking, and packing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift certification is a plus.

Work Environment

Work alongside 270 internal employees spread over three buildings in an inside/outside environment. You will collaborate as part of a team within a distribution center assisting a manufacturing facility. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with two shifts available: 1st shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm and 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 11 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kutztown, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.50/hr.
