Electrical Technicians in Piedmont, SC
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to perform hands-on repair, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting component-level diagnostics and repairs on AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, process controllers, and other electronic devices.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on repair, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Conduct component-level diagnostics and repairs on AC/DC motor controls, PLCs, process controllers, and other electronic devices.
- Troubleshoot and replace VFDs, sensors, switches, and contacts.
- Use precision instruments and electrical testing tools to inspect, calibrate, and maintain electrical components and systems.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to resolve electrical issues and optimize machine performance.
- Develop, update, and execute preventive maintenance plans focused on electrical infrastructure and facility systems.
- Conduct routine inspections of drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, filters, and other components to ensure optimal operation.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities, identifying potential issues before they escalate.
- Support parts inventory control, including establishing min/max levels for components and coordinating timely reordering.
- Assist in sourcing and stocking critical parts to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
- Provide daily follow-up on departmental maintenance tasks, offering guidance and technical support as needed.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to report progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion of maintenance assignments.
- Adhere to OSHA, FDA, and company safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash protocols, and emergency procedures.
Essential Skills
- Electrical troubleshooting expertise.
- Experience with PLCs and conduit.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.

Work Environment
The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM. The work environment is non-climate-controlled, requiring adaptability to varying temperatures.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piedmont, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
