Assembler

The individual in this role will work at a bench, cutting vinyl material, and assembling guards and other sub-assemblies. This requires measuring with a ruler, cutting with scissors or knives, and using a small heat press machine to bond the fabric. Additionally, the role involves the mechanical assembly of hinges and brackets, which are used to connect the guards using screwdrivers and allen wrenches.

Responsibilities

• Cut vinyl materials accurately using rulers, scissors, or knives.
• Operate a small heat press machine for fabric bonding.
• Assemble mechanical components such as hinges and brackets using screwdrivers and allen wrenches.
• Ensure quality and precision in assembling guards and sub-assemblies.

Essential Skills

• 2-3+ years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably in a medical environment.
• Proficiency with hand tools including screwdrivers and allen wrenches.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements using a ruler or tape measure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to lift up to 75 lbs throughout the day and stand for up to 8 hours.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a production or general labor setting.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is currently a small team of about 20, with a manufacturing team of 5. As a startup, the company is transitioning to a new location in Roseville, which will more than double their current space. The environment may seem cluttered due to the transition, but employees are enthusiastic about being part of a growing enterprise. The work schedule is from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a paid lunch from 11:00 to 11:30. Flexibility in start and end times may be available post-training. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
