Job Description

Join our team as a Construction Technician, working from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime on Saturdays. Your role will be pivotal in assisting with the construction and installation of commercial retaining walls and hardscape features.

Open to candidates with little to no construction experience. Looking for a good mindset open to learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the construction and installation of commercial retaining walls and hardscape features.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.
• Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Assist with site preparation, excavation, leveling, and backfilling.
• Follow layout plans, grade stakes, and supervisor directions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Work as part of a team to meet project schedules and quality standards.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of construction experience.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Knowledge in concrete, carpentry, rebar, formwork, and concrete finishing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in hardscaping, landscaping, or general construction.
• Familiarity with retaining wall systems, concrete blocks, or excavation.
• Experience using small equipment.

Work Environment

Work at commercial job sites throughout the KC Metro Area. You have the flexibility to either meet at the Claycomo shop for deployment to the job site in a company vehicle or go directly to the job site. The role requires working in various outdoor conditions, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and safely.

This is a permanent position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
