Hiring: Medical Device Assembler ($21/hr to $23/hr)

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team in the production of medical devices, specifically focusing on catheter assembly under a microscope. This role requires adherence to stringent quality and safety standards and involves working closely with engineers to maintain product integrity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures, Line Clearance, Work Instructions, assembly methods, product handling methods, production drawings, Good Documentation Practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety requirements.
• Successfully complete training on production tasks, understand travelers/routers, identify materials, and use microscopes and production/inspection tools needed for product builds.
• Operate tools and equipment and complete documentation as required.
• Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Collaborate directly with Engineers and Supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality.
• Work with Engineers to develop process documentation.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed and execute other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years of regulated manufacturing experience.
• Hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production environment or prototyping experience.
• Experience in manufacturing catheter products is a plus.
• Use of required safety equipment when performing lab work.
• Prior microscope and medical assembly experience.
• Prior cleanroom experience.
• Understand and perform in-process inspections to assure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices.

Work Environment

This position operates in a cleanroom environment, with shifts available on both 1st and 2nd shifts. Employees will be using EFD dispensers and UV curing systems, and must adhere to safety protocols while performing lab work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
