Now Hiring: Medical Device Assembly Technician
Engage in the manufacturing and assembly of medical devices by following specific procedures and instructions to ensure quality and safety.
Responsibilities include:
- Adhering to standard operating procedures, line clearance, work instructions, and assembly methods.
- Ensuring compliance with good documentation practices, current good manufacturing practices, and safety requirements.
- Completing training on production tasks and understanding travelers/routers.
- Identifying materials and utilizing microscopes, as well as production and inspection tools and equipment necessary for product builds.
- Operating tools and equipment, and completing documentation as required.
- Performing equipment setup, operation, and in-process inspection to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Collaborating with engineers and supervisors to ensure product integrity and quality.
- Assisting engineers in developing process documentation.
- Performing inventory counts.
- Receiving verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Essential skills:
- 1-2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in medical device assembly.
- Proficiency in using microscopes and inspection tools.
- Strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and SMT operations.
Additional skills and qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in medical device assembly, production, or small electronics.
- Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or prototyping environment.
- Experience with catheter product manufacturing is a plus.
- Ability to use safety equipment when performing lab work.
- Prior experience in a cleanroom setting.
- Capability to understand and perform in-process inspections to assure quality.

Work environment:
This role operates in a cleanroom setting with two shifts available: 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 2nd shift from 2:40 PM to 11:10 PM. Overtime may be required before or after shifts.
Job type & location:
This is a contract to hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.
Pay and benefits:
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
