Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC bending and cutting machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting setup sheets, configuring tools and fixtures, and ensuring machine dimensional parameters are accurately set. You will also load and run parts according to job specifications, predominantly using sheet stock materials such as stainless steel and Inconel. Performing quality checks using calipers and height gauges, as well as finishing and deburring parts with hand grinders, will be key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will have opportunities for cross-training and learning new machines on the production line.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC bending and cutting machines.
• Read and interpret setup sheets and blueprints.
• Configure correct tools and fixtures in machines.
• Zero out machine dimensional parameters.
• Load and run parts based on job specifications, primarily using sheet stock materials.
• Perform quality checks on parts using calipers and height gauges.
• Finish and deburr parts using hand grinders.
• Cross-train and learn new machines on the production line.

Essential Skills

• Experience in setting up production machinery and adjusting to meet product specifications.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using calipers.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
• Experience with CNC cutters, benders, and press brakes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in press brake operations.
• Skills in process improvement and leadership.
• Familiarity with CNC cutters or benders.

Work Environment

You will work on the 1st shift, from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. Our facility is clean, climate-controlled, and operates with a small team size, providing a comfortable and focused work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr.
