Janitor/Custodian Cleaner

2nd shift: 2:30ish-11ish (flexible with times) - Pay is $18/Hr

Perform general housecleaning duties in accordance with the approved schedule, ensuring a clean and tidy environment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and resupply restrooms.
• Remove litter, wastepaper, and broken-down boxes from buildings, disposing of waste in proper dumpsters.
• Vacuum carpeted floors and perform high and low dusting.
• Maintain cleanliness of carpeted and tiled floors.
• Wet mop tile floors and perform spot-cleaning as needed.
• Provide general maintenance and secure storage/supply rooms.
• Escort cleaning suppliers making deliveries.
• Assist with construction, moving of furniture and shelving, and replacement of light bulbs/ballasts as assigned.
• Keep track of ladders, vacuums, and other equipment used within the scope of the job.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 6 months experience in janitorial duties.
• Basic reading, math, and writing skills.
• Average mechanical aptitude.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Assistance with construction, moving furniture or shelving, and replacement of light bulbs.
• Bilingual is a plus.

The work environment is casual, and employees will be provided with an HME work shirt. The position is for the 2nd shift, from approximately 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with flexible times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, California.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.80/hr.
