Generator Service Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to maintain and repair gas and diesel generators on customer sites within a 60-90 minute radius of St. Paul. This role involves diagnosing engines, maintaining transfer switches, and professionally communicating with customers on-site.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gas and diesel engines and internal combustion engines.
• Maintain and test transfer switches and AC/DC generators.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication with on-site customers.
• Perform basic computer work using Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Essential Skills

• Experience in generator maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical service.
• Ability to diagnose diesel engines and relay switches.
• Familiarity with AC/DC generator circuits.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years experience maintaining and servicing diesel and gas engines and generators.
• Technical degree in diesel engines or automotive.
• 2+ years of electrical troubleshooting and maintenance experience on equipment, generators, and engines.

Work Environment

The work schedule is 8AM-4:30PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional work required after 4:30PM. Approximately 90% of the work is performed outdoors in various weather conditions. After the first year, there will be an on-call rotation.

This is a Permanent position based out of White Bear Lake, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $104000.00/yr. Rapidly growing company with a ton of growth. Company vehicle, can take home after training period. Paid drive time from house to job site.
