General Production Worker

Join our team to assemble cabinets by fitting, aligning, and fastening metal components. Operate hand and power tools including drills, impacts, and rivet guns with precision and safety. Follow blueprints and instructions to ensure accurate part placement. Conduct quality checks to inspect parts and completed units for defects and proper alignment. Handle materials efficiently using carts, hoists, or pallet jacks, while maintaining production pace to meet daily goals.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cabinets by fitting, aligning, and fastening metal components.
• Operate hand and power tools such as drills, impacts, and rivet guns safely and accurately.
• Read and follow blueprints and instructions for correct part placement.
• Conduct quality checks for defects, alignment, and fastening.
• Handle materials using carts, hoists, or pallet jacks.
• Maintain production pace and meet daily production goals.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, assembly, and machine operation.
• Proficiency with hand tools and machine operating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and instructions.
• Experience in inspection and quality checks.
• Stable work history and a good attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with powder coating and painting.
• Ability to operate a forklift and use a tape measure.
• Preference for assembly experience over pick and packing roles.

Work Environment

Work in a typical fabrication shop that may be dirty but offers a close-knit, family-owned environment. Choose from multiple shifts: 1st shift from 6 am to 4:30 pm (Monday to Thursday, with OT on Friday), 2nd shift from 5 pm to 3:30 am (Monday to Thursday, with OT on Friday), or a bridge shift from 3 am to 11:30 am (Monday to Friday, no OT).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
