General Production Worker - 16.85/HR - 3rd Shift - Start ASAP

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our production line team, focusing on the assembly and operation of machines in a new ramp-up project. The role involves assembling materials, inspecting parts, and preparing them for shipment. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble materials and operate production line machines.
• Inspect parts for quality and prepare them for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Work collaboratively with a 6-person team and oversee operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of recent experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs, specifically handling car hoods made of plastic and foam.
• Experience in visual inspection for defects such as scratches, paint marks, and dents.
• Demonstrated job longevity, with at least 8 months at each of the past three jobs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanical skills.
• Experience in machine operation.

Work Environment

The work environment is undergoing improvements to enhance cleanliness, as the building is newly acquired and being renovated. The role is part of a 6-person team operation, requiring safety gear such as work pants, work shirts, closed-toe shoes, safety glasses, and face protection. Shifts are 2nd shift from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, and 3rd shift from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am starting Sunday, with work scheduled for 6-7 days a week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TROY, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.20 - $17.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
