Production Worker

Join our team as a Production Worker where you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining packaging machinery. You will ensure the seamless operation of our production lines, contributing to the efficient packaging of products.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage packaging machinery including auto packagers, cutters, and fillers.
• Set up machinery and adjust hoses, blades, and other components as necessary.
• Add new film and rolls to the machinery to maintain production efficiency.
• Program orders and runs into the computer systems.
• Manage and resolve jams in the machinery, ensuring smooth operations.
• Conduct quality checks on products for defects.
• Operate machinery that fills, cuts, seals, and packages sauce packets and containers.
• Connect hoses to tankers and fillers and climb ladders to access machinery.
• Ensure safe operation while being comfortable with heights.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of GMP experience.
• 1 year of packaging experience.
• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. individually.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working on mezzanines above machinery.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities.
• Experience with machine operation and packaging machinery.
• Experience in blending and batch mixing.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean, GMP-compliant facility equipped with packaging machinery, kettles, and tanks for mixing. The floor includes various tanks, machinery, and packaging lines, and the facility is temperature-controlled, although it may be slightly warmer near the machinery and kettles. Dress code includes wearing hairnets, beard nets, no jewelry, work pants, and non-slip boots. The environment is pleasant, with appealing aromas.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.85 - $18.85/hr.
