The General Laborer supports laser machine operations by assisting the laser operator with a variety of tasks on the production floor. This role involves cleaning, loading and unloading materials, monitoring equipment, and moving parts to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the laser operator with day-to-day tasks to keep production running smoothly.
• Load and unload materials and parts into and out of the laser machine and other equipment as needed.
• Monitor the laser machine during operation to help ensure safe and consistent performance.
• Clean parts after processing to maintain quality and prepare them for the next production step.
• Move parts, materials, and finished products around the facility in an organized and safe manner.
• Clean and maintain work areas around the laser and press brake machines to support a tidy and efficient workspace.
• Support general production, assembly, and machine operating activities as directed by supervisors.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with machines and materials.

Essential Skills

• Experience performing general labor tasks in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to support machine operations, including loading and unloading machines.
• Comfort working around laser and press brake equipment and following safety procedures.
• Ability to clean parts and equipment with attention to detail.
• Capability to move materials and parts safely and efficiently within the facility.
• Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including cleaning, assembly, and production support.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windber, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.55/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
