The Patient Dining Associate is responsible for providing meal service to patients in the hospital, which includes a variety of tasks such as menu selections, tray assembly, catering rounds, tray delivery and retrieval, and recording of intake and calorie counts.
The associate will also handle special requests and maintain galley and floor stock, ensuring that nourishment is delivered efficiently to patients.
The associate will be expected to deliver meals to assigned areas, document meals and calorie intake, and round on patients to ensure their dietary needs are met in accordance with departmental expectations.
This position plays a crucial role in the overall patient experience by ensuring that meal services are delivered promptly and accurately, contributing to the health and satisfaction of patients during their stay at the hospital.
Delivers patient meals to assigned areas and documents meals and calorie intake.
Rounds on patients in accordance with department expectations.
Assembles meal trays and menus in accordance with guidelines.
Communicates patient diets, delivery of meals, and special requests with the patient care team.
Foodservice, Cleaning, Hospitality, Food preparation, Dishwash, Tray line, Customer service, Food prep, Customer service oriented, Food production.
• Provides customer service in a professional and friendly manner, and follows food safety and portion guidelines.
• Assembles meals according to the menu, diet order and correct protocol.
• Ensures work area is set up and supplies and products are organized before, during and after shift.
• Cleans and sanitizes work station and utensils.
• Uses equipment and materials properly and safely.
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
