Join our team as a Food Services Worker where you will play a crucial role in preparing and serving meals to students, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining a safe and welcoming dining environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure ingredients accurately.
• Transport pans, kettles, and trays of food safely to and from work stations, stoves, and refrigerators.
• Store food in designated areas following safety protocols, including wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils regularly.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Utilize approved food recipes and adhere to production standards to ensure quality, proper serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers efficiently and with a friendly demeanor, following outlined service steps.
• Address and resolve customer concerns, communicating relevant information to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
• Maintain compliance with all sanitation and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food preparation and cleaning.
• Ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in food service, housekeeping, and dishwashing.
• Ability to work effectively as a line cook or chef.
• Experience in fast food or similar environments.

Work Environment

Work in a bustling cafeteria setting with a dedicated team of 100 members. Shifts are available from 4pm to 9:30pm, Sunday through Thursday. Dress code includes slip-resistant shoes, appropriate attire, and provided hair nets and aprons. Expect a supportive environment focused on safety and professionalism.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Winona, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
