Food Services Worker

We are seeking a dedicated Food Services Worker to join our team at a retirement community in Wichita. This role involves preparing meals for a small group of 140 residents, offering a more intimate and manageable setting compared to larger facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents in accordance with dietary needs and preferences.
• Assist with dishwashing and busing tables in the cafeteria after meal preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and hospitality are met.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule to accommodate varying shifts and staffing needs.

Essential Skills

• Experience in food service and food preparation.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with dishwashing and cleaning.
• Capability to work on your feet during shifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in a fast food environment is preferred.
• Flexibility to work every other weekend, including Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Work Environment

This position is located in a retirement home community in Hays, KS. Employees will work in a fast-paced environment with shifts ranging from 6:30am-6:30pm or 7am-7pm, requiring flexibility and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00/hr.
